A-Block

One-man-banding in Orlando is an adventure to say the least, but the rewards are great :)

Tonight my story made it in the A-block of the 6:00 news!! http://www.clickorlando.com/news/Deputies-Man-shot-at-teens-on-ATVs/-/1637132/15348140/-/86c8a3/-/index.html

Here's another favorite from this week: http://www.clickorlando.com/news/35-swear-allegiance-become-American-citizens/-/1637132/15323088/-/q9naqbz/-/index.html

Debby...

I'm shooting a story today, (in a neighborhood with storm damage left behind by Tropical Storm Debby) and I feel something scraping against my hip. I figure it's just the tag to my pants, so thinking nothing of it, I continue filming. The feeling quickly becomes distracting, so I decide to hop in the news car and take a peek. I see two EYES and what appears to be a small SNAKE in my pants. I jump out of the news car and run down the street screaming, "There's a snake in my pants! There's a snake in my pants!" A nice old man let me use his garage as a dressing room where I'd discover it was just a lizard. Whew!

Goodbye TV20

Summer of 2008, Interning at TV20

INTERN.
That's the title on my first TV20 name badge.
I'll never forget my first day.
I showed up early enough to harass the morning show producers with a million questions.
Fast forward four years and I'm sitting in front of my computer, scanning craigslist for an apartment in Orlando.
God willing, I start work at WKMG, Local 6 in two weeks.

I'm excited for the next chapter of my life to begin, but I will miss the amazing people who have made my adventure thus far unforgettable.

On my last day at the 20, my coworkers surprised me with this video...a gift I will treasure forever <3
