Glasses

So my right eye has been bothering me since Monday, and I figured it's because I'm working the morning show this week and not getting enough sleep.

BUT YESTERDAY- it felt like I had shards of glass in my eyeball so I went to my optomitrist and he said I have a "corneal abrasion" and I CANNOT wear my contacts for at least a week.

Sooo for the first time since I've been at Local 6, I'm wearing my bottle caps.

Ahhhhhh!

New Years eve...

As my friends and family celebrated the new year last night, I was on Mercy Drive in Orlando, covering a shooting.

A teenager was shot in the face.

He survived, thank God, and is in stable condition at the hosptial.

I'm not saying this to complain, but to say that I'm grateful...

Grateful for a job that continues to expose me to some of the harsh realities of this world- only strengthening my faith in what is good.
